Since 1961 The Bloom Group has led many of the most progressive social services in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side. We’re dedicated to finding solutions to end poverty and homelessness while building a stronger, more resilient community.
We respond to urgent needs with compassion, innovation and action. We support people facing complex challenges regardless of their circumstances and without conditions.
Our Work
- Reduces homelessness
- Provides care for people with mental health challenges and addictions
- Ensures women-led families in crisis can stay together as they rebuild their lives
- Provides financial management for at-risk seniors
Our inclusive, low-barrier programs meet people where they are. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and the support to live with dignity and self-determination.
We also serve as a connector and catalyst. We work with partners to fill critical service gaps, drive long-term change, and redefine what’s possible for those most often left behind.
Our Vision
A strong and resilient community where all persons have a stable home and the support to live healthy lives with self-determination.
Our mission
We support the most vulnerable people in our community through the provision of housing, health and social services.
Our values
We believe meaningful change begins with integrity, transparency and accountability.
We adhere to best practices around service delivery, fiscal responsibility and performance measurement. We honor our responsibility to everyone we serve, every donor who invests in our community, and every partner who helps broaden the impact of our work.
